Is there software that can read a countdown timer on the computer screen?

Something that can track a ten second or more repeating timer and click on a certain spot on the screen whenever it reaches a certain time interval? I am looking for something that either exists or something that I can develop on my own like a bot for youtube or myspace? No, I am not going to har anyone with advertisements.
