Word to describe macbeth when he has heard about his wives plan to kill king Duncan?

I recommend seeing if your library has a copy of the Royal Shakespeare Company production with Ian McKellen and Judi Dench that you can borrow and watch. You might be able to think of a good word if you see it acted out, plus it's a great production.
