Would my mom let me hang out with this guy?

So im 13 and hes 14 (im in 7th grade: hes in eighth) and we are sort of dating. I havent told my mom about it yet, but i want to hang out with him. He lives about a three minute drive from me and always wants to hang out, but im not sure if my mom will let me if i tell her. I dont think she expects me to even have a boyfriend, and shes always weary of them because she got her heart broken a lot even though shea now happily married to my dad. So do you think im too young to hang out with my boyfriend? My moms sort of old fashioned- do you think she will let me?
