The Magic Reappearing Carpet Stains! ...Any Advice?

My boyfriend and I have lived in our apartment for 4 months now, and when we moved in... the carpet was freshly cleaned and looked great. Our landlord stated that we would have to pay 325 bucks (I know, crazy right?) for a carpet cleaning if there's any large, horrid stains. ...Well, whomever lived in this place before us tracked in a ton of black oil and since we've been walking all over the carpeting, the entranceway looks like a dalmatian rug now! There's large spill stains in the oddest places too. Maybe I just never grew up, but I still look forward to summer vacations. More contact with the grandkids, and great family gatherings. I am feeling a bit melancholy now that school is starting. One grandson is off to a college in another state, and though we are all very happy for him, we will miss him. My granddaughter is only eight, and many expectations of showing off her beginning skills as a rider at local events ended when her horse sustained an injury. you have a great plan and it looks like you don't have that far to go. Eating 5 times a day is great if you eat small portions and cut out the sugar. Sugar is the worst thing. if you go low carb you can also burn fat faster. running for a longer period would also be helpful, once you run for 45 min your body will have used up all your carb stores and will start burning fat. Keep in mind when you see the magazine covers with models and actors that have nice flat stomachs and a 6 pack, they do not walk around looking like that. Much like a fighter these models will often drop 10 to 20 lbs just for the fight or photo shoot. then they shoot back up to a more normal body size. good luck

I'm in pain, doctors dont know why!!?

i'm 18. i had an IUD put in March 8th (Monday), it was very painfull because i never had any children and my cervix was very tight. That weekend the pain was still there and getting worse. By tuesday my right side was hurting so bad i couldn't walk and had to be taken via ambulance to the ER. They did a cat scan and found that I had an abnormally large appendix and gall stones but there was no inflammation so the surgeon doesn't believe thats what is causing the pain.Wednesday the removed the IUD. My blood test shows nothing, white count is normal everything in my blood tests came back normal. The pain starts just above my last rib and goes down to my hip, it branches inward about 2 inches and it goes towards the middle of my back about 3. I can barely walk let alone sit up straight. I dont eat much but never really have. and lately i'm a little gy but not bad. Please help me

How can I get my parakeets to eat fresh foods?

I have two parakeets who aren't the least bit hand tamed, so any like I have read of pretending you eat it and then offereing it to them will not work. Anyway, I have tried several times with a lot of different foods I tried mixing bits with their seed (I'll get to that in a second) but they eat around it, I have tried to leave the food in the dish all day, but they just walk/poop on it, and I have tried only offering fresh food without seed and they just screamed the whole day. Foods I have tried are Banana, fresh peach, frozen strawberries (thawed), cherries (sans pit), mashed blueberries, seedless g, garden fresh organic corn (I know it's garden fresh and pesticide free because we grow it) (off the cob), canned and fresh green beans, canned peas, peanut er, graham crackers, boiled cabbage, crushed saltines, bits of boiled chicken (cooled). If I damage my vehicle trying to avoid crashing into a negligent party?

While driving to work a vehicle that was speeding lost control skidded into incoming traffic and was pushed back into my lane by the vehicles which he struck. To avoid striking the negligent parties vehicle I slammed into the curb damaging the alignment and axel of my vehicle. I had Gestational Diabetes with my 4th pregnancy. The fasting glucose reading of 100 is on the high side, but not dangerously so. It is a possible indicator that you need an adjustment of your insulin. Since you are very near to the end of your pregnancy a few more days or a couple more weeks of this is not going to be cause for great alarm. After the birth of your baby, it is most likely that he will be just fine. He will have several blood tests to check his glucose numbers, but most babies don't show any signs of problems. He may have hypoglycemia, low blood sugar, but beginning to nurse right away usually takes care of that. Rarely babies born to moms with GD require some IV glucose solution to balance the glucose numbers. There may be some jaundice that develops, but this is normal for babies born to moms without GD as well. It is easily treated and not generally cause for concern. While there is an increased risk of higher than normal birth weight for babies born to moms with GD, it is not a given. The baby I had when I had GD was born at 41 weeks and weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces. They predicted (via ultrasound) that she would weigh over 8 pounds, but ultrasound weight predictions can be off. Typically the biggest problem is a large baby which can cause l delivery problems so some doctors recommend an induction if the baby is getting too large and sometimes a c-section is necessary if the baby develops macrosomia, which basically is just a large baby with a big shoulders that make l delivery potentially problematic. After your baby is born, specifically after the placenta is delivered, the Gestational Diabetes should go away soon after. GD is caused by pregnancy hormones that make your cells insulin resistant. The hormones are made by the placenta so as soon as that is gone, your cells return to normal in most cases. You will be at greater risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes later in life and will want to be monitored and try to keep your weight down and exercise. My youngest is now 10 and I was diagnosed last year with Glucose Intolerance, a pre-diabetic condition, so I am back eating with a specific meal plan in order to ward of Type 2 as long as possible.

It's alright, you didn't make it your own. In order to be an exceptional artist you need to take a subject whether it's from a photograph or life and manipulate it so it's not just copying a random picture. It helps when you have some sort of attachment with your piece, but when you take pictures off of the Internet your not really makIng your work resemble you. It helps if you take your own picutres. The drawing could also be darker. You need to really push your darks and make your lights lighter. I know that making your picture darker might be scary but you have to do it if you want it to have the wow factor. Don't be afraid to make the branches and leaves a little bit different from the picture. So some artistic freedom, dont be so structured with your work. Hope I helped!

I have seen a LOT of uggs and fuggs (not bearpaws,exhileration, etc. I'm talking about dulpicates that say UGG on the back but are fake) and I personally think fuggs are very tacky and only poor people buy them. you want to move the latch, not the door lock tongue. I would use lipstick and mark the tongue, and then strike the latch at the jam and see where it is hitting. You can either move or file away some material depending how small it is. You have to move it, then take out the latch and insert with glue golf tees in the old screw holes. Let them dry and then relocate and drill new location. The lipstick trick will also work to locate the tongue to the latch. Some doors shift in time and if you have kids, they loved to hang on the door knob for a E ticket ride.

I have a 1990 honda civic sedan that has 220,000 miles on it. the oil was changed fifty miles ago, along wigth the oil filter. today i was driving it around and i stopped to get gas. when i got back into the car and started it, it struggled to start and then died. i tried to start it again and it started, but the engine was shaking more than normal. immediately as i accelerated, the car started shaking more, and it was struggling to accelerate. there was also a haze of smoke trailing behind me while i was driving. it was a light grayish color with a very little tint of blue. it wasnt thick. once i got up to 25-30 mph, the car would act decent, but if i went past 45 the shaking started again. and when i would slow down for a stop sign or light, the car would almost stall and in some cases it did. after five minutes of driving it, i pulled over and popped the hood. the engine was HOT. very very hot. but the gauge in my car, which does work, showed a normal temp. and no warning lights of any kind popped up. i got in the car again and drove slowly the rest of the way home (10 miles) while idling you can hear some type of rattling coming from the hood. i dont know how to describe it but the noise is like a marble being tossed around in a gl. im really worried, and i dont know how it could be fine one second and a disaster the next. what could be wrong? thanks.

18' birch in big trouble.?

I just planted a large whitespire birch 3 days ago in a new garden made up of existing sandy foundation below and 4" of triple mix above. Since then, we had mive amounts of rain and fierce winds that practically pushed this enormously heavy tree to a 45 degree angle. After a lot of work we have managed to "right" the tree again but discovered that the ground is like a mud pie from the rain. The tree is essentially like a ball in a primed socket. The leaves have started to wilt. Any advice on how to save this beautiful birch?? It's far too large to stake, and far to heavy to take out of the ground without istance from a crane, so re-planting isn't an option. Help!!!

How can I get my husband to be more patient with our kids (extremely long--sorry)?

To make a long story short, one year ago this month, I quit my job to be a stay at home mom, and my husband got back in the work force after being a stay at home dad for almost four years. Aside from when my older two kids (ages 7 and 5) are in school, I have them 24/7 (I also have a 16 month old whom I care for during the day). I'm the one who cooks, cleans, makes dinner, changes diapers, helps with homework, etc. (Not complaining--just stating the obvious that my husband really has no home responsibilities aside from occasionally taking out the trash, fixing little things that break, etc.) I don't know what the deal is with him, but it's like he can't have a decent conversation with our kids without snapping at them. For example, this morning they were getting ready for school and apparently weren't putting their shoes on fast enough for his liking (they were not running late) and he lost his patience and said, "Let's go let's go. Stop screwing around." (He wasn't yelling at them or screaming or anything--he's just EXTREMELY impatient over every. single. thing. they do. I tell him to get off their backs, and he tells me that they need to listen and obey. My argument is that if they were older and farting around, that's one thing, but they're so little and young, and they're not doing it to be obstinate. They play video games and if their volume gets above a certain level, he yells at them to be quiet. If they talk too much at dinner, he tells them to be quiet and eat. (Very rarely he yells--most of the time he gets a sour look on his face and grits his teeth and talks to them.) You'd think that being out of the house all day, he'd be a little happier to see them. Our kids aren't monsters--they're just normal little boys. (Well, as normal as can be expected--our 5 year old has ADHD and our 7 year old possibly has Aspergers Syndrom). I'm not a violent person by any stretch of the imagination, but when he gets like this, I just want to smack the **** out of him. What can I say/do to make him realize that he's being a complete ****** and to back the hell off? Our kids notice this and I see after he's been grumpy/upset/snappish with them, their little faces crumple. Our 5 year old was in counseling for his ADHD with a psychologist for a while, and the dr. told me very early on to ignore the little things. If our son walks into a room and kicks a toy (not out of meanness--just doing it for whatever reason) to let it go--it's not worth it. I can't seem to beat this into my husband's head that it's not worth it to CONSTANTLY harp on them about everything. Help.

Definately. My faith has been tested many times during my life and it's only made me stronger. I'm 16, and I carry my Bible around high school. I have totally been in your shoes! I actually was surfing the web to find a answer to my own preggers question when I came across yours! I was 14 weeks and had to have a biopsy. I did bleed a little when I went to the bathroom. I had a small amount of pain for a little while (about 2 hours). It totally freaks you out! Anyways, even if your doc's office is closed you can always call your local hospital and ask for the labor and delivery unit. I found those nurses to be a life saver when your having a "moment"!

Is my 2 month old really eating too much?

My son is 2 months old, he's given milk from a bottle, and eats about 5 or 6 ounces (give or take an ounce or two) every 2 or 2.5 hours. He is only 13 pounds and 24.5 inches. I would like for him to wait and eat about every 3 or 4 hours, but he's not having it. My doctor wants him to go longer than 2 hours between feedings also. The only way I know how to do this is to let him scream. He doesn't like the pacifier..he likes to eat! The only good thing is that he either sleeps straight through the night or only wakes up once. You don't have to have a seperate account for tax purposes. If you record the income and expenses for the LLC and keep the books seperate, the government doesn't care where you keep the money. Stick it under the matress! :) However, if your company receives payment in checks written to the company, the bank probably won't let you put them into an individual account. (Mine did for a while, none should legally.) Also, if you ever want to establish credit for your company, you need a seperate account. Reconciling your bank statement to your expenses (and therefore balancing your corporate books) is also going to be a REAL hle and prone to errors... In short, you should open a seperate account and will probably have to for practical reasons, but legally, you don't have to. Ask your accountant, they'll tell you point blank to keep seperate accounts.

When the engine is turned off, the heat in it tries to dissipate through its coolant which is not circulating and the coolant in the block may boil a short time. Bubble, bubble. It is not going to blow up, catch fire or turn into a monster. Some cars run their cooling fans after the engine is shut off to remedy this. I don't know if the Neon does. Maybe you have a hard drive uphill to campus and make more heat than a drive on level ground. Maybe you just get off the freeway and park shortly after. Make sure there's the right amount of coolant in the radiator before you start the car in the morning. Other than that, rest easy.
